Instruction Design in Online Learning

Module 1: Instructional Design

In module one, I created an overview of what my course will be about. I included a variety of information like what type of assessments I will use to assess the students’ learning, the institutional documents and materials used, and the learning management system I will us to deliver the lessons. I also used Fink’s 3-Column table to ensure all activities, targeted skills, and assessments aligned with the curriculum, state standards, and my Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG), which is learners’ reading engagement will increase by learning skills through reading and writing personal narratives and implementing blended learning. Students can connect previously learned knowledge with new knowledge to make inferences about the world around them.

Module 2: Implementation

Module 2, implementation, I made a video highlighting the main course focuses and goals. The course is 50% face-to-face and 50% online. Learners are given a choice in their learning to promote self-learning and reading engagement.

Module 3: Usability and Reflection

The purpose of Module 3, Usability and Reflection, is to analyze the usability of the online, blended learning course for 4th-grade reading and writing Personal Narratives.

Contribution to my Learning

Throughout the entire course, I learned and connected ideas with my collaboration group.
