My Take Away to Inspire others

The most valuable lessons I have learned in the ADL program are collaboration, choice, and a growth mindset. I enjoy collaborating with Stacie, Lola, and Lorena. We all have different personalities and qualities that make us a strong group. We can rely on each other and come through for each other when needed. Having the choice to pick our group and how and when we collaborate is incredible. With other commitments like family, our jobs, and personal self-care, attending all our zoom meetings can be challenging to attend all our zoom meetings. Times do need to be modified, but we understand each other. Also, choosing how we design our E-Portfolio is so much fun. Learning about new digital platforms, figuring out how they work, and how to apply them to our E-portfolio has been an adventure. A growth Mindset is also part of one of the most valuable lessons in the ADL program. I feel like with a Growth Mindset, there are no limits, and it can take you to places one can never imagine. I used to let failures get to me, but now I do not let them get to me, and I find myself being happier and with more energy. With a Growth Mindset, I believe I can lift students’ self-esteem to be fearless in a learning environment. I hope to be able to transfer collaboration, choice, and a growth mindset to my students. If I could transfer at least one of these to them, I would send them in the right direction.
