Changing your words can be meaningful to others’ point of view; it is not all about stating facts but taking those facts and sending a heartfelt message. For example, in the video “The Power of the Words,” once the lady changes the wording on his sign, more people give the blind man money. Sometimes we get lost and want to state the obvious, but we take the time to think about our words so we can motivate, inspire, and energize others to take action for change. How will you change your words to motivate, inspire, and energize others?

The Power of Words
Last updated on June 26, 2022
Hello I am Leticia Cortez, I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown in Urban Education EC- 6 grade with a bilingual certification. I am currently a bilingual teacher in 4th grade at Aldine ISD in Houston, Texas. Things have definitely changed since I was a student 20 years ago. The way I learned is not the same way students are currently learning and in order to change that I have decided to pursue a degree in Applied Digital Learning at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
