Students, teachers, professors, professionals, and everyone can own an E-portfolio. There are learners in all areas, not just in teaching. When a company wants to know what skills you have, you can show your portfolio instead of showing your resume, whether in education, in the medical field, or in politics. Yes, you heard right, even students can create portfolios to showcase their learning. Many schools keep records of students’ work, grades, and behavior, but if students were able to show what they have learned and reflect on their learning through an e-portfolio. Students will be able to offer their families all the knowledge and connections they have made in school. These portfolios can be submitted as part of college applications or job applications so that others can see their full potential.

Hello I am Leticia Cortez, I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown in Urban Education EC- 6 grade with a bilingual certification. I am currently a bilingual teacher in 4th grade at Aldine ISD in Houston, Texas. Things have definitely changed since I was a student 20 years ago. The way I learned is not the same way students are currently learning and in order to change that I have decided to pursue a degree in Applied Digital Learning at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
